# Suprising and being suprised...-
On the 4th of October, we celebrated Stella's birthday at the Korean Restaurant. Kahhou planned a suprise party for her. She was suprised and happy 'bout it. There came a man who suprised us with something which we considered 'woo..'
The day before Stella's birtday, I went to Laobu's house to watch some movies, which I've mentioned in the previous post. I got a call from Kahhou the next morning, he told me his plan of suprising Stella, which I found quite intriguing.
These were what he told me on the phone that morning (I was informed in on short notice, -_-):
- I'll come to your house at around 10 o'clock.
- Then we'll leave to Home Centre to refund the tickets.
(For your information, the ticket's are the Leehom's concert tickets. It wasn't Leehom's concert in the first place, it was Guang Liang's instead. It suddenly changed to Leehom's. Anyways, I found out that it might be a scam when I read the newspaper. Malaysia Sony Music and Guang Liang's Management Company both claimed that neither Guang Liang nor Leehom are gonna have a concert in Brunei this year. To worsen the case, that production company doesn't seem to exist. It pretty much caused a stir during that time.)
- After that, we'll go to pick Kahsiong and Sieng Yen up.
- Then we'll buy a cake at Mum's Bakery , and we'll drop Sieng Yen and Siong at the Korean Restaurant so they'll prepare the cake with candles lit.
- We'll leave to Liang Toon to pick Stella up, and (here comes the interesting part...) I'll blindfold her with a cloth. I'll lead her all the way to the Korean Restaurant, then she's settled, I'll remove the cloth.
- I also asked Seng Yen to call from Singapore before he enter the examination (he was going to have his exam at 1 o'clock.)
- After that, we'll go to the gym.
My reaction to this: Oh~~
"How come your reaction's the same as Siong's when I told him?" he asked.
"What do you expect me to say since you've got it all planned?" I replied.
We did all the stuffs he told us. But while we were having our lunch, came a man we never expected and thought of. His name is Ignatius Stephen, he is the owner of BruDirect.com and DeRoy@alle Cafe. He also turned out be a freelance reporter for Borneo Bulletin.
"Who was the lady being blindfolded?" he asked.
Then Hou started explaining the whole thing, and when Mr. Stephen has done listening. He said he's gonna put this whole suprise-Stella-thing into the newspaper. We were suprised. He gave us his contact numbers and stuffs. He wanted us to meet him at his office so that he could get the photos from us.
After Hou and I have finished working out at the gym, we went back to my house and waited a bit. We left to DeRoy@alle Cafe, but Mr. Stephen was nowhere to be found. So Hou asked one of the waitresses where could we find him. She told us the way and we went upstairs into his office. When we arrived at the third floor of the building where his office is, the doors on either side of the offices seemed to be locked. So, Siong called him up, he showed up on the other side and opened the door. We gave him the photos and some details like our names, how the whole thing happened and bla bla bla.
After that, he brought us down to his cafe and treated us some of his cafe's new dishes. Hou and I ordered spaghettis and Siong ordered Fish and Chip. The food was nice. We talked with Mr. Stephen until 12.30 am, I guess. We paid our own bills, the food that he treated wasn't in the bill though.
I sent both of them back home as usual (I wonder when'll people send me home, eh?) and I reached home at 1.15 am. God, I'm so lazy to drive these days.
